We're Growing!
Bread & Butter Public Relations is pleased to announce the arrival of two new Account Executives—Elizabeth Creasy and Allison Slutsky. Elizabeth will be working in the West Coast office while Allison will be working on Southern business in the Austin office. This expansion will allow Bread & Butter to better serve its clients and expand into new markets, which both presidents, Rachel Mays and Meredith Vachon, are thrilled about.
Beth Creasey
Account Executive, West Coast
Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Beth is a California girl who has traveled far and wide for college, culinary school, and work, but has found her way back home to do good work with great food.
Beth left Southern California for The South when she attended Washington & Lee University, in Lexington, Virginia, and double majored in Business Administration and Environmental Economics. After graduation, she worked as a research assistant focusing on agricultural economics, traveling to and working with farmers in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, and Brazil.
It was her work in research that spurred her passion for a hands-on career with food. She traded in her plans to go for a PhD from Cornell to receive an Associate’s Degree in culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University. After graduating at the top of her class, she decided she’d had quite enough of the chilly Colorado weather and headed back to Southern California.
Beth brings a diverse culinary background to Bread & Butter Public Relations. Her leave-no-stone-unturned résumé includes jobs as butcher, wine distributor, cheesemonger, baker, and chef. She has worked for many restaurants in Los Angeles such as AOC, The Little Next Door, Cube, and SusieCakes. Most recently, she worked as chef and kitchen manager for the Green Truck, a healthy and environmentally responsible counterpart to the ubiquitous taco trucks that roam the streets of Los Angeles.
Beth is passionate about food and the community inspired by great meals. There isn’t a real distinction between work and play with Beth, and if she’s not working, she’s most likely at the market, scoping out the latest and greatest finds for her next soirée, or making dinner at home with her boyfriend, Pie.
Allison Slutsky
Account Executive, Southern
Allison grew up in the world of food and wine and developed a lifelong passion for the world of hospitality. Raised outside of Chicago, Allison was exposed to the culinary world at an early age as she watched her family manage their Chicago-based wine import company, D. Recher & Company. D. Recher & Company later merged with Pacific Wine Company but the interest in food and wine had already left an imprint.
While studying at the University of Miami, Allison worked as a freelance travel writer focusing on travel to South Florida and the Caribbean. While in Miami Allison also worked at Four Seasons Miami in the sales, catering and public relations departments and it was here she was able to blend the world of hospitality and public relations for the first time.
After graduating with a BA in communication and a double major in journalism and English literature, Allison took a position at Jasculca/Terman & Associates, a Chicago-based public relations firm. At JT she worked in the events department with clients in the public affairs, non–profit and sports fields, assisting with events and ensuring that a media presence was maintained for each client.
A warm weather fanatic, Allison was ready to leave the winters of Chicago behind and try somewhere new and moved to Austin. She worked again in hospitality at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown in the sales and catering departments. While she enjoyed her time spent there, she wanted to mesh the worlds of hospitality and public relations again, a desire that led her to Bread & Butter.
When Allison is not working hard she can be found enjoying the outdoor culture of Austin, traveling to see family in the Cayman Islands and playing with her dog Quinn.
